30 TV Shows Get the Axe

October Road has bitten the dust along with several other TV shows. I suppose this is standard, but I'm pretty bummed. October Road wasn't my favorite show, but I sure did look forward to it breaking the reality TV monotony and it got me through the loss of Six Degrees. I miss age-appropriate TV shows that I can relate to. Don't get me wrong, I'm a glutton for Gossip Girl, but I'd like to see a show about 28-32 year girl or guy who's actually portrayed by a 28-32 year old girl or guy. I'd like that show to not be some hideous sit-com that's trying to live up to the Friends/Seinfeld/W&G legacy. I'd like that show be funny, and dramatic, but overall just give me a sense of comfort when I watch it. I miss feeling like I can relate to a character on a show (My-So-Called-Life) or feeling like I want to be a character on a show (Felicity).

So I'm sad that October Road has been given the boot, but I hope for the love of entertainment that something wonderful fills it's spot.

Check out the other axed shows here.

P.S. Anyone who's shocked that Cavemen didn't get picked up for next season should be clubbed over the head.
