A while back The University of Kansas spent a ridiculous amount of money updating their logo only to agree on a fairly boring mark composed of type from the Trajan family.
The new logo also meant new branding all around and the basketball player's jerseys were quickly updated. Needless to say, many die-hard fans were not thrilled with the switch and a few went as far as making t-shirts denouncing the logo and it's typeface.
I happen to really hate the new logo for a number of reasons and think these shirts are wicked awesome and I'm so happy to have finally been introduced to them.
Thanks for sharing, Ralston.

I love when people spend major bucks on stupid crap like that. Trajan is such a generic font these days. Reminds me of an ad I had to fix today that is going into a newspaper, they are always so concerned about thin type in the paper, yeah yeah, I get it, so I had to change some of the text to one of their favorites, Arial Black, wouldn't you know...Helvetica ranks right up there too...I have come to the conclusion that the general public cannot recognize good design, so I just do what I am paid to do, create designs to their specifications. *phew* That was a long thought.
