As much as I love stationery, greeting cards, receiving non-junk in the mail and wishing people happy birthday, you'd think I'd be better at mailing cards to friends. Well, I'm not.
I'm so picky about birthday cards -- OK, all cards -- that it takes me forever to find one that I think is worthy enough to be mailed to one of my awesome friends. Then, I spend hours running through drafts to perfect verbiage and penmanship. On top of that, I'm notorious for procrastinating -- and while I have an alarm to remind me of friends' birthdays a week in advance specifically so that I have enough time to find, pen, and mail a tangible card, I never do.
Then, when the birthday arrives, I think, "Oh, I'll just whip up a clever little design or animation and email it -- that way it's still personal and not some over-used e-card." Guess what? THAT never happens either. So, I do end up resorting to sending an over-used, impersonal e-card -- or even worse, a dinky text message...
I'm horrible...
