Long time no post! A busy schedule kept me away from the blog, but hopefully I'll be able to get a few posts in this week. Still contemplating a switch-a-roo and just posting whatever, whenever so that I don't feel tied to something and am only posting the best stuff as I find it rather than posting something because I have to. We'll see how that goes...

For now, enjoy this week's mosaic, and if anyone can educate me on how to pick a fresh persimmon and how to eat it, that'd be great! I bought one this weekend that was brightly colored and firm like a not-quite-ripe tomato, but I saw an entire batch of them that looked rotten to me because they were squishy and the produce guy told me that's when they're best... Hmmm... Not sure I can bring myself to eat a squishy, rotten looking fruit when everything I've seen tells me they should be firm. Help?
