We're not the most beautiful runners ever, but I just wanted to document my first ever 5k race. For someone who's never been much of a runner, I was psyched to finish with a time of 31:01 and to place 31 out of 51 in my age group. Thankfully Captain Weird was with me the whole way.

Congrats Mary!! I have done three 5k's, but of course, I don't run =) I admire you for pushing through. My goal is to run a 5k one day, but I am lazy =( Come and be my trainer ;)

CONGRATS!! That's so awesome. Running a 5K is nothing to sneeze at! Next up: 10K!!!! I'm not a runner either, but I'm trying to convince myself otherwise. :)
